Three nights in enough to see the highlights of Prague, but I'd like to suggest you consider flying on Smartwings from Prague to Budapest if you include both of those cities on your itinerary. You
Would add a day to Vienna. You can definitely see/experience a lot there in 4 days. Would recommend Schoenbrunn Palace, Natural History Museum, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Crime Museum, Belvedere Palace, and the Prater.
A packable water bottle. Travel purse or backpack. Long sleeve shirts. Short sleeve shirts. A lightweight, waterproof jacket for layering and rain. If you are visiting in winter, pack a warm jacket, gloves, and a hat! You do not need to pack toiletries; Prague is a big city with plenty of shops to get the basics.
The perfect Budapest 3 day itinerary. Day 1: Chain Bridge, Buda Castle, Matthias Church, Fisherman’s Bastion. Day 2: Shoes on the Danube Promenade, Budapest Parliament, St. Stephen’s Basilica, Vajdahunyad Castle. Day 3: Gödöllő (day trip from Budapest), Szentendre Szechenyi Spa Baths.

It is possible to go through historical centre in even just one day, because everything is so close togehther, but Prague is that beautiful that I think 3 days for someone who has never been there might be even not enough. Hope you'll enjoy our beautiful capital :-)
